I created this project in 2001, and then it increases thanks to everyone in the team: all the “pioneers”, all of those who construct and are again building this common adventure.

During all these few years, we have learned by doing and we have been astonished, surprised; but today, with each completed step, we are totally in phase with the values that this project brings and the activities that we sep up.

Lutherie Urbaine is now based in a unique site and location in Bagnolet intended for the development of all our activities and collaborations.

The foundations and bases of Lutherie Urbaine:

-  To transform, produce, create, broadcast and diffuse ……. 

Its missions: intercultural and artistic, social and educational. 

Beyond these words, the project is to radically position itself to favour the emergence of new cultures, brought about through international exchanges, by both specific and original production methods, mixing "amateurs" and "professionals." 

Because, by choosing to recycle waste, making original musical instruments, with people who never even imagined approaching music and playing on the instruments they made, bringing everyone and everything on stage, is a banishment of exclusion and creates the opposite effect, giving an opportunity to people and to objects because the path that leads to creating on stage is made with and because of everyone’s involvement.

This is also a way, without a doubt, to show that we can make music together, nourished by ambitious creations, without relying on the acquisition of a musical instrument and a costly apprenticeship.  

 Lutherie Urbaine is an alternative and playful approach.  It enthuses us, astonishes us and entertains us.  And we are doing all we can to see that this continues!!
